Bukmuk Reading Challenge 2026: how to join and log books

A journey of a thousand pages begins with a single book. The 2026 challenge turns your child's reading into streaks, points and certificates, so every finished book feels like a win.

Step 1: sign up

1. Open the challenge portal.
2. Sign up with the same email as your Bukmuk membership, so your library books are linked.
3. Create a new password. It is a separate account from your library login.
4. In Profile, add the parent's name, your child's name and your mobile number. Your child's name appears on the leaderboard and certificates.
5. On the Dashboard, find Bukmuk Reading Challenge 2026 and tap Join Challenge.

Step 2: log every book

• When your child finishes a book, tap Log a Book.
• For books borrowed from Bukmuk, switch on Read from Bukmuk. Only these count towards milestones and XP.
• Add a star rating and a line about what your child enjoyed to earn bonus XP.
• Log on consecutive days to keep the streak going.

Step 3: milestones and certificates

• Beginner Reader: 50 books. Your first digital badge.
• Emerging Reader: 100 books. A higher place on the leaderboard.
• Avid Reader: 150 books. The mastery certificate.

When your child reaches a milestone, tap Get Certificate to download a printable certificate. After the challenge ends on 31 December 2026, the top three readers by Bukmuk books read also receive a printed certificate from us.
